THE LONG ROAD TO MONTEREY

CINEMATOGRAPHY - PRODUCTION

Working with New Dominion Pictures we shot a 2hr special for MotorTrend that was aired on The Discovery Channel Novermber 11th, 2018.

The show tells the story of our good friends at The Creative Workshop and two remarkable cars: the 1966 Coachbuilt Ferrari 330GT Speciale and a 1921 Kissel 6-45 "Gold Bug" Speedster - each going to incredible events during the famous Monterey Car Week: The Quail Motorsports Gathering and the most prestigious car show of them all - the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance.

We were tasked capturing the day-to-day experience of what it takes to bring such amazing machines to life. This opportunity gave us an inside look at the insane attention detail and forensic research that is poured into these vehicles. It allowed us to capture the story in a very documentary style rather than a reality TV approach. By giving us the freedom to do what we do best we were able to work harmoniously to capture authentic experiences during the 5 months of production.
